Instant Messaging Outlook isn't set up straight away to use
the MSN Messenger software. The first task you need to accomplish
before you can use Messenger is to obtain a Microsoft Passport.
The Passport is a type of electronic ID that you associate
with your e-mail address.
When other people want to contact you through Messenger,
they can use your e-mail address as your instant messaging
address. You also need to download the software and set it
up.
To obtain a Passport:
Step by Step
- Open your web browser and connect to www.passport.com.
- Click on Register for your free .NET Passport
today! link.
- Complete the registration form.
